By:

The Odense spectacle called ESL Pro League Season 8 Finals is already in full flow with millions of fans from all over the world tuning in to see the last major CSGO tournament of 2018. So far, there haven’t been any major surprises with all favorites advancing through to the semifinals without too much hassle. With that being said, CSGO bettors have surely made a pretty penny thus far! In order to keep up the good work, I’ve decided to surprise you all with my in-depth take on the ESL Pro League S8 Finals betting predictions. But first, let’s take a look at which particular esports betting websites are the best for this CSGO tournament!

ESL Pro League S8 Finals | Where Can I Place Bets?

Let’s jump straight to the stuff most of you are interested in – where to place your CSGO bets on this tournament. No worries, I got you covered with a short list of the best CSGO bookies at the moment:

So, whether you’re living in or out the US of A, chances are you’ll like the service offered by those bookies. Here are the best things about them so you know what you’re dealing with before registering for an account:

Best Betting Odds

When choosing a bookie, whether we’re talking about esports or regular sports, the first thing that comes to everyone’s minds are the betting odds. Of course, this aspect works with the age-old rule of thumb – the higher the better. While I can’t guarantee that the above-listed bookies have the highest betting odds for all of their betting options, I can say with assurance that they are the best ones out of the bunch as far as CSGO is concerned. Check them out and you’ll understand where I’m coming from with this!

Great Variety of Specials

During the course of the biggest CSGO tournaments such as this one, it’s not surprising to see esports bookies going out of their way to please their users with plentiful special bets. Take BetWay as the perfect example here – offering a whopping 10 types of specials on quarterfinals matches, not including match-winner bets.

No Scams

I don’t have to be the one to tell you there are numerous fishy betting websites out there that exist for the sole purpose of scamming people. If you don’t want to be on the rough end of the table, choose one of the bookies I listed above and stay on the safe side! If the above-listed reasons aren’t enough to pull you in, the risk of losing your money (and potentially your personal info as well) on betting websites of questionable qualify surely will!

Easy to Use

A betting website can have great odds, brilliant customer service and all the bet types you could ever wish for… but if it’s insanely difficult to navigate and switch from market to market, chances are you’ll be looking to bet your money elsewhere. As far as those 6 bookies from above are concerned, you don’t need to worry about fluidity and page-to-page navigation since ease of use seems to be one of their top priorities.

Group Stage Recap

The group stage didn’t really have any major surprises to talk about. Sure, Mousesports ended up beating NaVi only to lose to MiBR in the upper bracket finals. NaVi then had to go through Sharks Esports and Ghost Gaming to earn their quarterfinals ticket. Sharks Esports didn’t really put up a proper fight… but Ghost Gaming did. The second map (Train) could have gone either way and was decided on a nerve-racking overtime. S1mple pulled the strings (ending up with 40 kills) and managed to get his team back to 1-1 which was enough to kill the morale of Ghost Gaming.

As far as Group A goes, everything panned out according to everyone’s expectations. Astralis dominated the opposition, cementing their first spot in the group and bringing them just 2 matches away from being the richest CSGO team of all time. Team Liquid looked impressive too but ended up losing against The Great Danes for the 3rd time in a row. But it wasn’t for the lack of trying – this Team Liquid roster looks brilliant at times so they’ll definitely be a tough team to face in the upcoming playoffs matches.

ESL Pro League S8 Finals Betting Predictions | Quarterfinals

Now comes the most important part – the part all of you must be eager to see – ESL Pro League S8 Finals betting predictions. Quarterfinals matches are stating in less than 24 hours so let’s get straight to the action and see what can we expect from these 4 teams:

Mousesports vs Renegades

Mousesports LogoRenegades are coming into this competition as the 5th NA seed. The only somewhat notable surprise in the entire group stage was their win against BIG which took them to the lower bracket finals against G2 Esports. That match could’ve gone either way, but in the end, Renegades (led by in-form jks) showed enough resilience and qualified to the quarterfinals.

Mousesports wasn’t all that brilliant in the group stage despite their surprising win against Natus Vincere. Don’t get me wrong, mouz played a great match against the Ukrainians… but their match against MiBR was a completely different pair of shoes.

Nevertheless, I still consider Mousesports to be one level above Renegades and will definitely have them among my betting slips for the day. -250 seems pretty decent but I might even end up going for Correct Score 2-0 which sits at +110 at the moment.

Team Liquid vs Natus Vincere

Team Liquid LogoLet’s start off by saying that this is going to be one heck of a match. In last 4 head to head matchups between these two teams, the score is tied at 2-2. However, it has to be said that Team Liquid won the last two… and with proper style (both matches ended up with 2-0 on the scoreboard).

Another thing to note prior to this match is the current team morale. Team Liquid lost the upper bracket finals against Astralis while NaVi got 2 consecutive wins in the lower bracket, albeit against much easier opponents. However, I’d like to say a thing or two about their last match against North. For those of you who haven’t seen it, make sure you watch the highlights as it was a proper nail-biter. S1mple ended up with 40 kills on the second map with his team already fallen behind 1-0. Luckily for NaVi, S1mple turned on his cheats once again and drove his team back to level terms. But he can always do that now, can he?

Team Liquid, on the other hand, started off with style, beating G2 Esports and BIG without too much hassle. Their team morale was very high prior to their match against Astralis, but The Great Danes didn’t make a slip on their quest for that juicy $1,000,000 Intel Grand Slam Prize Pool. I’m not saying Team Liquid played poorly, I’m saying Astralis showed their prowess yet again…

As far as my ESL Pro League S8 Finals betting predictions are concerned, I believe they’re quite obvious already. I can’t see NaVi winning this one… I just can’t! Team Liquid looks better in-game, have slightly better map pool than NaVi and have won last two head to head matchups. At the moments, Team Liquid to win sits at roughly -180 and that’s probably what I will go with for this one!

Will Astralis Win the Intel Grand Slam in Odense?

This is the questions that’s been on the mind of the entire CSGO community for the last couple of months. And now, we’re just a couple of days away from actually finding out the answer to that question. Judging by Astralis’ start to this competition, they will definitely be looking to win it all right here on their home soil.

So far, they’ve only lost only 1 map (against HellRaisers) but looked outright dominant in all 3 of their matches thus far. For those of you who don’t know, they’ve qualified straight through to the semifinals match in which they’ll be waiting for the winner of the match between Mousesports and renegades. The draw has favored them as they’ll be waiting for a proper opponent in the Grand Finals. Possible opposing teams are MiBR (also waiting in the semifinals), NaVi and Team Liquid.

If we assume Astralis goes through to the grand finals, one thing’s for sure – CSGO fans from all over the world can expect a proper Best of 5 spectacle between Astralis and one of three teams that are actually capable of beating them. It’s going to be an epic match, that’s for sure!
